A lot of people have been sharing this iconic image from #Ferguson where a man named Mr. Crawford throws a tear gas canister BACK at police who had thrown it at peaceful protesters. Crawford urges people not to buy items with the picture on it at this time. Money from it is not going to him or #MikeBrown’s family.

The state of our community is high-stress and traumatic. It’s draining. Be a light for each other in your own lives. Share the load with understanding and Love. Forgive each other, move on, be a solution. Lift each other up.
We are such a powerful and magical people who take up so much space with our energy here in the United States. We dominate popular culture. So people look at celebrity and forget that we are a small hated group. They forget that we are only 13% of the population and are systemically discriminated against daily. They forget. Until they are reminded. With a Trayvon. A Mike Brown. A Rekia Boyd. An Oscar Grant. An Aiyanna Jones… the souls of black folk.
